On the ground floor of the newly completed third building at CAMPUS V in Dornbirn, a multifunctional event space now serves as a showcase for Vorarlberg’s economy, tourism and innovative strength — and, at the same time, as a working and meeting space for the companies based at the site. A press conference in the morning, a keynote in the evening, a workshop, a live broadcast or a content shoot in between: the room changes its role several times a day. It can also be divided, allowing an auditorium and a workshop space to run simultaneously and independently of one another.
That flexibility shapes the entire media installation. The 6.0 × 3.37 m LED wall with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch travels on a rail system, following the chosen room division, seating layout and stage position rather than dictating them. The high-end audio system is matched to each configuration and delivers consistent speech intelligibility whether the space is open or divided. It is complemented by a high-quality microphone setup designed for every scenario — from keynote presentations and press conferences through to open panel discussions. A carefully considered lighting design separates ambient from show lighting, creating both a productive working atmosphere and genuine stage presence. In the foyer, LED display strips act as an eye-catcher for wayfinding, welcome messaging and branding.
Everything is operated from a dedicated control room with fully digital signal distribution, making even demanding live events, playbacks and streams reliably manageable — broadcasting to an outside audience is as much part of everyday operation as the event in the room itself. Kraftwerk Living Technologies was responsible for the concept, supply and integration of the complete media installation including the streaming technology, working closely with the client and the planning partners. The result is an event space whose technology stays in the background and becomes visible only when it is needed.
